Troubleshooting In Defense of Aliens: How to Fix Common Problems and Isuses
Common fixes:
- Clear the Cache of Your PC or Console
- Update In Defense of Aliens game Licenses (PS Only).
- Power cycling your console (PlayStation 4 & Xbox One): Turn off your console » unplug power-cable for 1min. » Plug power-cable back » restart console » Run In Defense of Aliens again.
- Install Missing Multiplayer packages.

- Reset Winsock:
- Press » Search bar » and type CMD. Now, Right-click Command Prompt when it comes up as a result and select Run as administrator.
In Command Prompt, type 'netsh winsock reset' and hit Enter (on your keyboard).
Now, Restart your computer and Launch In Defense of Aliens and check if the issue persists.
- Close all other Internet connected apps.
- Restart your network (modem or wi-fi).

As a family, we were hooked on Dungeon Defenders and my son was obsessed with drawing alien creatures. We mashed them together with a father's desire to show his kids that they could not only play video games, but they could also learn to create them, and that was the original genesis of our game. Fast-forward to present day and my sons are at college (one studying Computer Science and the other Business with a CS minor) and this game has become a passion project for me and my daughter (still in high school). We've been fortunate to enlist the help of some great indie-friendly artists, animators, developers, sound engineers and an amazingly supportive community on our discord server.
