Troubleshooting Road of Dust and Rust: How to Fix Common Problems and Isuses
Common fixes:
- Clear the Cache of Your PC or Console
- Update Road of Dust and Rust game Licenses (PS Only).
- Power cycling your console (PlayStation 4 & Xbox One): Turn off your console » unplug power-cable for 1min. » Plug power-cable back » restart console » Run Road of Dust and Rust again.
- Install Missing Multiplayer packages.
How to Fix Road of Dust and Rust Game Server Connection Problems:
- Reset Winsock:
- Press » Search bar » and type CMD. Now, Right-click Command Prompt when it comes up as a result and select Run as administrator.
In Command Prompt, type 'netsh winsock reset' and hit Enter (on your keyboard).
Now, Restart your computer and Launch Road of Dust and Rust and check if the issue persists.
- Close all other Internet connected apps.
- Restart your network (modem or wi-fi).

ABOUT THE GAME
You play as a convict, banished from a futuristic civilisation to the wasteland, where entire communities grew up during the years of this practice. As having a car is one of the basic rights in society, every outcast can keep his auto in exile, so wasteland life has been built around the cars.
The core of the game is mass car battles, where each car could be modified with various improvements, such as flamethrowers, raws, shields, boarding or kamikaze devices, etc. You can either destroy an enemy group or just leave them behind, if all of your cars are fast enough. These battles take place on procedurally-generated wasteland roads, filled with obstacles suitable for landscapes where a battle has been started on the global map.
A global map is another important part of the game. Here you can find a wasteland with a couple of factions - each with a unique philosophy and lifestyle. Some of them are in the state of war, some temporarily at peace. There are economic system between them, with trading, raids and plundering and you can take part in any of this. Wasteland could change geographically after death of your hero, but the economic situation and the storyline will continue instead of resetting, so the next hero will face the consequences of your actions.
