The game leverages tense sound design, dynamic lighting, and eerie visual distortions to create a sense of dread. The game is designed to make the player feel disturbed and unsettled. To emphasize the surreal atmosphere, the radio messages are delivered through an intentionally robotic voice, this was a design choice to help emphasize the uncanny feeling the game can have at certain points.
