ABOUT THE GAME
You can now download World of Squares on the official website! (The steam team is a bit slower in their reviewing.)This is the pre-alpha release for World of Squares, a cute social MMO to relax and immerse in. You can pet foxes (and fox-morphed players) with your mouse cursor!Fishing, particle physics, painting, parkour, playing music, cooking, fighting — a plethora of game systems combine together to form limitless possibilities.Add your friends and chat with them online or offline. Emotes let you express yourself to your friends. Hang out together or enjoy each others' presence in an adorable world.Start by choosing your favorite color for your character! On ensuring your enjoyment:- This game exists for your enjoyment and health — a monthly price of a $5 coffee unlocks all content, keeps the servers running, the developer alive, and ensures that the relationship between the game and its players is strictly symbiotic! Game progress, cosmetics, and stash-slots are strictly an in-game fun experience; they cannot be purchased with real world money.- This is a social game. You can still log in, move around the world, and message your friends even if you can't afford membership. Exactly the extent of free-to-play content is to be determined, but that much is the philosophy.- To me, it feels strange to commit time to an MMO if I know my progress is on someone else's server. I promise I will release a playable local version in a timely manner that has all of your progress if the game must go down and stay down (I won't be alive forever, or perhaps the player-base supporting the servers moves on)
