Troubleshooting The First Step: How to Fix Common Problems and Isuses
Common fixes:
- Clear the Cache of Your PC or Console
- Update The First Step game Licenses (PS Only).
- Power cycling your console (PlayStation 4 & Xbox One): Turn off your console » unplug power-cable for 1min. » Plug power-cable back » restart console » Run The First Step again.
- Install Missing Multiplayer packages.
How to Fix The First Step Game Server Connection Problems:
- Reset Winsock:
- Press » Search bar » and type CMD. Now, Right-click Command Prompt when it comes up as a result and select Run as administrator.
In Command Prompt, type 'netsh winsock reset' and hit Enter (on your keyboard).
Now, Restart your computer and Launch The First Step and check if the issue persists.

ABOUT THE GAME
I want to start off by mentioning that this project is a learning project for me. I am trying to learn how to use Unreal Engine, and for this purpose I have created this game. It is a very simple item collection game. And only has 2 levels. The entire game can be completed in a few minutes. Still, I have tried to make the levels interesting enough to explore for a bit. As well as added a timer, so you can try to find the quickest ways to complete the levels.
