MALICE is a 2 player escape room styled game centered on exploration and cooperative puzzle solving with a Japanese horror theme.Players play a pair of modern day travelers to Japan visiting a fictional temple. In an earthquake event, the players are plunged underground into darkness where a mansion lies dormant waiting.Players must navigate through the ancient house discovering it’s secrets while surviving it’s malicious inhabitant lurking around every corridor and room.Story so far…You and your friend is traveling in Japan visiting one of it’s mysterious temple shrines when suddenly you fall into a sinkhole. Underground, you discover a sunken mansion. A sinister presence lingers while you explore it’s dark corridors. Separated from your partner, both of you must rely on your communication skills, smarts and wits to escape the mansion if you want to see the light of day again.Note: This game can only be played with 2 playersUnique Story and LoreMalice features a unique storyline that spans across eras and players are dropped right into the center of the story.Story elements are revealed through hand drawn cutscenes and interaction with various characters.Atmospheric EnvironmentsMalice focuses on building an environment with atmosphere and audio that aims to completely immerse the player into the game world.Game art is made with slight mix of realism and styling in mind to give the players a sense of the fantastical and uncanniness, hoping to make their experience more dream-like or rather nightmare like.Challenging PuzzlesPlayers’ main obstacle in the game will be a variety of puzzles.
