Troubleshooting Retention: How to Fix Common Problems and Isuses
Common fixes:
- Clear the Cache of Your PC or Console
- Update Retention game Licenses (PS Only).
- Power cycling your console (PlayStation 4 & Xbox One): Turn off your console » unplug power-cable for 1min. » Plug power-cable back » restart console » Run Retention again.
- Install Missing Multiplayer packages.
How to Fix Retention Game Server Connection Problems:
- Reset Winsock:
- Press » Search bar » and type CMD. Now, Right-click Command Prompt when it comes up as a result and select Run as administrator.
In Command Prompt, type 'netsh winsock reset' and hit Enter (on your keyboard).
Now, Restart your computer and Launch Retention and check if the issue persists.
- Close all other Internet connected apps.
- Restart your network (modem or wi-fi).

Retention is a puzzle/platformer that follows the story of Amy. Amy has seemingly lost her memories, and it is your job to help her remember who she is. Use your Focus to reveal what was once hidden, and guide Amy back to her one true love.
Retention is a game built by 20 some odd SCAD students that graduated in the 2020 year. The whole game was built in less than a year, and was put together using a completely voluntary workforce. Ever since the games conception, our team wanted to do more than produce a simple game. We always had a message and wanted to make a difference with our work. We give this game to the public for free in order to bring more awareness to Alzheimer's Disease and its victims.
