The Old Forest is a lighthearted roleplaying game set in a fantasy universe. You set out with your friends to the pub across the forest, but encounter some setbacks along the way. Discover the source of the long winter and heal the spirit of the forest in this narrative driven adventure. In the Old Forest, you play as a halfling from the village called Hauflinheim, the home of the Halflings. In true roleplaying spirit, you can customize your character's face, skin color, hair color and sex. The Old Forest features most the mechanics you've become accustom to in other open world adventure RPGs. Crafting is a huge part of the game. Craft your own armor and weapons with resources you collect throughout the world. You can mine different metal ores for armor and weapon crafting. Craft your own food and potions for stat boosts, buffs and restoring effects. You can even craft building components and build your own house almost anywhere in the world. Combat is a large focus as you dungeon crawl through caves, ruins and catacombs. The Old Forest is also filled with various threats from wildlife, monsters and spirits protecting the forest. Melee combat includes swords, maces, clubs and spears. Ranged combat includes bows and crossbows. Desire the more mystical path? Place your skill points in intelligence and magic to become a powerful mage, casting fire, ice and lighting at your enemies. The wilderness in the Old Forest can be brutal and cold at times. You'll need to setup camp occasionally and rest, light a fire for warmth and eat regularly to keep from starving. Don't worry though, the forest provides. Most players in open world settings desire to go anywhere, and with climbing and hang-gliding, you can! Almost everything you can see, you can explore in depth!
